Board 1 of Round 5 was one of the last few boards to finish last night.
After 5 rounds GM Anton Fillipov share the lead with IM Wang Rui. The two split the point when they met in Round 5. In the pictures above, GM Fillipov doesn't seem happy with the draw. Perhaps he had a big advantage earlier? We'll try to get the game online later today if possible.
Just half a point the leaders, at 4 points are Yang Kaiqi, GM Nguyen Anh Dung, IM Julio Catalino Sadorra, IM Tirto and GM 'Bong' Villamayor.
Today the players have a rest day.
Tomorrow's Round 6 looks to be interesting with recently crowned Korean Open champion Yang Kaiqi vs tournament leader GM Anto Fillipov on top board. IM Wang Rui will be facing GM Nguyen Anh Dung on board 2 while IM Julio Catalino Sadorra will be battling it out on third board vs Indonesian IM Tirto.
